Kathmandu, September 30: China’s state-owned company Sinohydro has been selected to complete the remaining tasks of Melamchi Water Supply Project (MWSP), that was left unfinished by Italian contractor Cooperativa Muratori Cementisti (CMC) last year.
The Melamchi Water Supply Development Board and Chinese company signed the agreement in the capital yesterday for the purpose. The MWSP executive director Tiresh Prasad Khatri and company representative Wang Hua inked the deal.
As per the agreement, the company is assigned to complete the tasks in 12 months at a total cost of over 850 million rupees.
