Indian budget airline SpiceJet is set to restart its Nepal operations after a five-year break, with daily flights between New Delhi and Kathmandu commencing on May 10, airport officials have confirmed.
SpiceJet has appointed Himalayan Global Travel Services Pvt Ltd as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for Nepal, according to airline representatives.
The carrier will operate a 189-seater Boeing 737 aircraft on the route, configured entirely in economy class. Officials from the airline’s Nepal GSA noted that there are plans to expand the service to two daily flights in the near future.
Introductory one-way fares on the Kathmandu–Delhi route are expected to start at approximately Rs 17,000.
