A total of 10 life insurance companies have announced dividends for their shareholders from the profits of the last fiscal year.
Among these insurers, six companies have decided to distribute only cash dividends, while four have announced a small portion of dividends in the form of bonus shares. Nepal Life Insurance has proposed a total dividend of 21.05 percent, which includes five percent bonus shares.
Similarly, Life Insurance Corporation has announced plans to provide 21.05 percent cash dividends. Sun Nepal Life Insurance has proposed a total return of 20.263 percent, including five percent bonus shares.
Citizen Life Insurance has proposed a 20 percent dividend for its shareholders. IME Life Insurance and Sanima Reliance Life Insurance have announced cash dividends of 10.53 percent and 10.18 percent, respectively.
All these companies are yet to convene their Annual General Meetings (AGMs), where the proposed dividends will be presented for final approval.
