Tourism income in Nepal has increased by 2 billion as the sector remains dynamic.
According to data from the Nepal Rastra Bank, under the services account, tourism income increased by 5.1%, reaching NPR 41.86 billion during the review period.
In the same period last year, the income was NPR 39.82 billion.
During the review period, the net service income showed a deficit of NPR 43.53 billion. In the same period last year, the net service income was in deficit by NPR 35.43 billion.
Under the services account, tourism expenditure increased by 9.7%, reaching NPR 101.92 billion.
Of this, expenditure on education stands at NPR 56.83 billion. In the same period last year, tourism expenditure was NPR 92.87 billion, with education expenditure being NPR 58.95 billion.
