The planned transmission line will span a distance of 16 km, extending from the switchyard of the Upper Ingwa Khola small hydropower project in Yangwarak Rural Municipality-3 of Panchthar to the Amarpur substation of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) located in Hillihang Rural Municipality-1.

Ingwa Hydropower Limited is on the verge of commencing the construction of this transmission line. The company has recently submitted an application to the Department of Electricity Development for the necessary permissions, which are now in the final stages of approval.

On Thursday, the department issued a public notice, inviting stakeholders to share their written opinions and suggestions within a period of 35 days. The objective is to address any potential adverse impact on the construction and operation of the project.

Once completed, this transmission line will have the capacity to carry 9.7 MW of electricity. It will comprise 330 steel poles, each with a height of 13 meters. The poles will be installed at intervals ranging from 30 to 65 meters. The construction of the transmission line is expected to be completed within six months.
