Kathmandu, January 9: A new campaign titled “Visit Madhesh 2020” has been announced in order to help make the mega campaign of “Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020″ successful.
“The mega campaign has set the target of bringing 2 million foreign tourists in Nepal in total throughout this year. In this context, the newly launched campaign is focused on impelling at least 33 percent of this national target i.e 6,60,000 foreign tourists to visit the Madesh region of the country,” say the organizers.
As part of the campaign, not only the climatic/ecological features, historical/ archaeological sites and natural heritage of the region but also its culture lifestyle, costume and custom will be publicized in the international tourism market.
In order to facilitate the foreign tourists looking to visit Madhes, the visitmadhesh.com website and visit Madhesh mobile application have also been developed, according to the organizers.
