“The visit has been highly productive in further consolidating the Nepal-Europe ties.” Talking to the Press at VVIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon his arrival today, the Prime Minister said, “We remained highly active during the trip. We raised the issues related to our policies, achievements, necessities, and aspirations in every forum in a relevant way.” Stating that the 1947 Tripartite Agreement reached between Nepal, India and the UK had been much old, and it could not direct and regulate current needs, the Prime Minister said he shared the views with the UK that Nepal wanted to move ahead on the basis of bilateral consensus by revising the treaty.

In his response to journalists’ query, Prime Minister Oli said the government was doing its best to make sure the expansion of flights of Nepali airlines across the world including to Europe. “The issue was raised seriously with bodies concerned during the trip.” Talking to media-persons on the bill, he said that the government would not go against the welfare, aspirations, and wishes of the sovereign Nepali people. “The government, who values the people as god and hears them, works for their welfare and act as per their direction, is responsible to them. The correction will be made if there is any shortcoming.”

Sating that exploitation against the poor people is taking place in some places in the name of Guthi, he said, “The government is ready to make a review if there is any impact on Guthis related to tillers, lease, religion, culture, and tradition.” The present and coming time in the country was not for expressing temperament, excitement or engaging in conflict and agitation, but the time has highly demanded the culture of dialogues, consensus, cooperation and progression instead, he added, calling upon all to expel their belief that achievements were possible through only promoting the sentiments of protest.

On the occasion, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, one of the members in the PM’s entourage, shared about visit affairs and achievements made during the visit.
