Kathmandu, October 24: Despite timely announcement of the budget as ensured in the Constitution of Nepal, the capital expenditure of the government in the current fiscal year is not encouraging.
The capital expenditure in the country has not met its target as per the information released by the officials on Monday.
The capital expenditure is just 7.2 percent of the total announcement during the first three months of the current fiscal year. The officials argue that the capital expenditure could not meet its target due to festive seasons and delayed in the tender process.
Likewise, the government has collected Rs 231.38 billion in revenue till Monday which is 24.52 per cent of the entire revenue target set by the government for this year. The government has targeted to collect Rs 945.56 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year. RSS
