Although the project is not connected with complex topography and road network, the public has said that the work has gained momentum. During the public hearing of the project, the locals said that the working method was good and added that the state should pay more attention to the project as it is connected with the future of not only Dolpa but also Karnali.

Chairman of Mudkechula Village Municipality, Datta Bahadur Shahi, said that the construction work of the project has been carried out in a place where it is not comfortable with any other means of communication.

Chairman Shahi said that they have been cooperating with the locals since the distribution of compensation for the Jagadulla Hydropower Project (106 MW). Although the work of the project started with Jagadulla Hydropower Company is complicated, the work has progressed without any hindrance till now.

The powerhouse will be constructed in Mudkechula Gaonpalika-4 Il and the main dam will be in Jagadulla Gaonpalika-1 Hurikot. The project will generate electricity under the investment of Nepal’s water people. The project, which is being constructed with an investment of around Rs. 20 billion, is expected to earn Rs. 12 million daily. The project aims to provide revenue of Rs. 290 million annually to the state.
