Kathmandu, September 10 : The government is to give permission for conducting additional flights to those international airline companies, which have already been permitted to fly regularly to the country. In this connection, the government has decided to remove the existing provision of bringing only 800 air passengers daily by these companies.
A decision to this effect was made through a high-level consultation between the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister following discussions among the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and the Minister for Labour and Social Security.
According to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, the related international airline companies can bring more than 800 passenger daily as per the need after the permission is granted them to conduct additiinal flights into Nepal. “However, it is manadory for them to ensure that every passenger they carry must have PCR report with negative result. This is simply important to prevent the possbile risk of the spread of coronavirus in the country.
