Kathmandu, December 13 : The Kathmandu-Delhi bubble flights will be starting again following the nine-month-long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Two such flights are planned to be operated on a daily basis from December 17 by Nepal’s Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and India’s Air India.
Though the government had resumed the international flight schedule from September 1, flights to New Delhi could not be opened due to high infection rate in India. Later, on November 25, Nepal and India agreed on the bilateral ‘Air Bubble Model’ to resume air flights between them.
The air bubble concept is a bilateral arrangement between the two countries under which airlines from both countries can operate international flights by complying with a set of regulations and restrictions.
Both the NAC and Air India have already opened booking for those air passengers looking to travel in the Kathmandu-Delhi route.
