Ncell Foundation has announced an initiative to donate educational materials to students in rural and remote community schools for every 4 runs scored during the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
“Cricket brings people together, and through this initiative, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of students in underprivileged areas,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communication and CSR at Ncell.
The educational materials will be distributed in collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), local authorities, and other stakeholders.
It’s worth noting that CAN has already entered into a partnership with Ncell for the NPL, with Ncell and Siddharth Bank serving as the ‘Powered By’ partners of the league.
In other news, Chitwan Rhinos, one of the eight franchise teams in the NPL, will offer free bus transportation for supporters traveling from Chitwan to Kathmandu on match days.
Five buses will be arranged to shuttle fans from Chitwan Medical College to the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and back, for those with tickets to the match.
Chitwan Rhinos will play their first match against Kathmandu Gurkhas on December 2.
