The fourth meeting of the Nepal-Qatar Joint Committee has started in Kathmandu.
Discussions are being held between a team led by Qatar’s Ministry of Labor Secretary Mohammed Hassan al-Lawadli and a team from Nepal’s Ministry of Labor on Friday morning.
The Nepal-Qatar Joint Committee meeting is discussing the review of the labor agreement reached in 2005, Nepali domestic workers in Qatar, bringing skilled workers from Nepal, the issue of returning workers, Qatar Visa Center in Kathmandu, the impact of Nepali workers in Qatar due to Corona.
A high-level delegation from Qatar, which is in Nepal for the meeting, had earlier met Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha.
Even then, discussions were held in the field of bilateral interests and mutual cooperation.
