Kathmandu, October 13 : As many as 3,556 fresh cases of COVID-19 have been reported today, thus pushing the total number of such cases in the country to 1,15,358.
Among the new cases, 2,139 were found within the Kathmandu Valley alone, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
There are currently 35,915 active cases of the disease and 4,795 infected people are staying at quarantine facilities in the various parts across the country.
So far, 78,780 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 663 others have succumbed to it.
Nepal has carried out a total of 1,207,091 real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests including 15,577 today, the ministry said.
