Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has informed that the work of drafting development law has started to overcome the obstacles of development in Nepal. Speaking in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Society of Economic Journalist SEJON, Finance Minister Sharma gave such information.
He said that the development law would play a role in solving the obstacles of development including environment and land acquisition. Stating that the new variant of Covid-19 has added more challenges to the economy, he feared that the impact would be even deeper.
He also informed that the government is looking for new modalities to increase development expenditure. Stating that there is a policy of tightening the import of luxury items to reduce imports, the Finance Minister said that the government is trying to create an investment environment in the country.
