CAAN has introduced a rule that passengers traveling from Kathmandu should be shown printed tickets or digital tickets from Saturday onwards.
CAAN has revealed that it had made printed tickets mandatory due to security concerns.
Teknath Sitaula, director of CAAN’s airport operations department, said that some passengers coming from Tribhuvan International Airport only show the PNR code of the ticket and the code does not reveal the identity of the passenger.
In addition, air passengers now have to show a printed copy or digital copy of the ticket with full details of the ticket. CAAN has also requested to enter the airport at the time of reporting mentioned in the ticket.
