The Rasuwa Customs Office Timure has collected 88.39 percent of the target in November.
According to customs chief Ram Prasad Mainali, out of the target of 547.11 million revenue collection in November, 1.36 billion revenue has been collected. The revenue collection was 483.57 million more than the target set in December.
In December last year, 369.88 million revenue was collected. Compared to last year, revenue collection has been 668.89 million more this year.
The Rasuwa customs office collects customs duty on export, import, customs, service fee, agricultural reform, excise duty, VAT and other fees.
It has been almost two years since trade with China was affected by the Corona virus infection. Its effect is also seen in the collection of customs revenue. The Rasuwa customs office failed to collect even half of the annual target last year.
Readymade garments, electronics and other goods are now entering Nepal from China’s Kerung through Rasuwagadhi, while handicraft items are going to Kerung from Nepal.
