Kathmandu: South Korea has announced plans to recruit 7,200 Nepali workers in 2026 under the Employment Permit System (EPS), offering employment opportunities across four sectors.
According to the EPS Korea Section, Lalitpur, the recruitment will be conducted under the points-based selection system, with the final number of successful candidates depending on applicants’ scores in the evaluation process.
Manufacturing Sector Receives Largest Quota
Of the total workforce requested, 5,000 workers will be recruited for the manufacturing sector, which continues to be the largest source of employment for Nepali migrant workers in South Korea.
The agriculture and animal husbandry sector has a quota of 2,000 workers, while 100 workers each will be selected for the service and forestry sectors.
Applications Open from July 27
The EPS Korea Section has invited eligible candidates to submit applications between July 27 and August 2.
Applicants will first be required to pass the Korean language proficiency test. Those who qualify will proceed to the second stage, which includes a skills test and performance assessment. Final selection will be based on the combined scores obtained under the points-based evaluation system.
