Nepse has been traded only three days this week. The Nepse index has declined by 114.04 points in the three-day trading.

Investors have lost more than Rs 162.02 billion in the stock market, which has declined by a staggering number as of Wednesday.

Nepse has been continuously declining since last Wednesday. The Nepse index had stopped at 2,661.44 points on Thursday, the last trading day of last year.

This year’s trading volume has dropped by 114.04 points to 2,547.04 points.

In terms of percentage, the Nepse index has declined 4.3 percent in the last three days.

On Sunday, the first trading day of the year, the Nepse index had dropped by 7.73 points. The Sensitive Index was down 0.73 points, the Float Index was down 0.69 points and the Sensitive Float Index was down 0.46 points on Sunday.

A total of 7,040,000 shares of 224 companies worth Rs 3.27 billion were traded on the day.

Similarly, on Monday, the second day of the year, the Nepse index had dropped by 1.62 percent to 2610.60 points. A total of 78.34 million shares of 227 companies worth Rs 3.66 billion were traded on Monday. Nepse trading was closed on Tuesday due to Mahashiva Ratri festival.

On Wednesday, the Nepse index fell by more than 63 points to 2,546.60 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index declined by 11.52 points, the Float Index by 4.37 points and the Sensitive Float Index by 3.61 points.

A total of 7.652 million shares of 228 companies worth Rs 3.62 billion were traded on Wednesday. Nepse transaction is also closed yesterday as the government has given a public holiday to Gyalbo Lhosar, which is celebrated by the Sherpa community.
