Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Company has reported a profit of Rs 860 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Company made public in the financial statement of Rs. 17.8 million loss in the first quarter of the last fiscal year to the Rs. 860 million rupees profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Company’s income has earned profit as soon as the project was completed and power generation started. This has led to high growth in profits. The company has earned Rs 1.72 billion from electricity sales during the period.
With the increase in profit, the company’s earnings per share have increased to Rs 32.48 and its net worth per share is Rs 98.01.
Upper Tamakoshi has a generating capacity of 420 MW and is currently the largest hydropower company in the country.
