Kathmandu, March 15: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has decided to cut down on its flights to New Delhi of India after a demand for air service to India’s central capital noticeably went down due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19).
With such decision, the national flag carrier will fly from Kathmandu to New Delhi for only one time a day from today. It has been generally operating two flights on this route in the morning and evening each day.
The morning flight schedule is to remain as it is while the evening flight schedule has been suspended till further notice, according to the NA.
The corporation’s flight to Bangalore on March 19 and 31 has been cancelled while the flight to Mumbai on every Friday has been suspended from March 15 to April 15. Similarly, the flight to Bangkok on March 11 and 25 and that to Hong Kong on March 19 and 26 have also been cancelled.
The NAC has suspended the Kathmandu to Doha flight from March 10 until further notice. It is stated that the amount paid by the customers to buy the air tickets to destinations where the flights have been cancelled shall be fully refunded and no charges would be taken for changing the flight date for one time, the NAC said.
