Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices, effective from midnight Monday.
Under the new rates, petrol will be cheaper by Re 1 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will see a decrease of Rs 2 per liter. Additionally, the cost of aviation fuel for domestic flights has been lowered by Rs 6 per liter, and the price for international flights has been reduced by US $45 per kiloliter.
The price adjustments align with the revised rates provided by NOC’s supplier, Indian Oil Corporation.
In specific areas, petrol will now cost Rs 155.50 per liter in Chaaraali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. Diesel and kerosene will be priced at Rs 144.50 per liter in these locations.
In Surkhet and Dang, petrol will be priced at Rs 157 per liter, with diesel and kerosene costing Rs 146 per liter. In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, petrol will cost Rs 158 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will be Rs 147 per liter.
The NOC has set the price of aviation fuel for domestic flights at Rs 126 per liter. For international flights at Tribhuvan International Airport, the new price is US $960 per kiloliter, while airlines operating international flights from Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports will be charged US $860 per kiloliter.
